Original stories set in the worlds of iconic video games are featured in this animated anthology series. Video games have made the leap to the screen in a big way, and we’re celebrating the genre with a closer look at over 50 video game adaptations for film and television. Clive Standen will reprise his voice role as Demetrius Titus, the main character from the video game Space Marine 2. The episode is set after the events of the game. Much like Netflix and Oat Studios’ short-form genre showcases “Love Death + Robots,” Prime Video’s offering of “Secret Level” is a diverse showcase for casual enthusiasts of sci-fi and digitally animated video games. “Secret Level” features eight standalone short-episode vignettes based on recently released video games. Viewers who enjoy digitally animated sci-fi, video games, and short-form animation will likely enjoy and appreciate the creative and economical presentations. Strong highlights of the series, true to its video game roots, include the War Hammer and Armored Core segments. For fans of Arnold Schwarzenegger and Ultra-Nerds, there were some smile-inducing Easter eggs to be enjoyed in the New World: Aeternum episode. Much like Netflix’s “Love Death + Robots” and “Oat Studios” short-form genre samplers, Prime Video’s “Secret Level” offering is a varied sampler platter for casual digitally animated sci-fi and video game enthusiasts. “Secret Level” is a solid and strong addition to the “Love Death + Robots” and “Oat Studios” short-form genre sampler. “One Hundred Years of Solitude” is one of the biggest TV and streaming premieres of the month.
